Description
zeroHero Sword Needle Distributor
zeroHero Sword Needle Distributor needle is a high-precision WDT (Weiss Distribution Technique) tool designed to level and properly distribute your espresso grounds in the portafilter basket. It features 13 ultra-fine 0.25 mm stainless-steel needles that stir and separate clumps in the coffee mass, creating an evenly distributed “puck” before tamping. The tool has a magnetic base that securely attaches to your portafilter for stability while you work. It’s made from food-grade stainless steel (needles) and a durable aluminum alloy body, built for long-term use, easy cleaning, and consistent performance.
Because distribution is a critical step in espresso prep, helping to prevent channeling and uneven extraction using this tool helps improve flavor clarity, balance, and consistency in each shot.
Key Features of the zeroHero Sword Needle Distributor
- 13 ultra-fine 0.25 mm needles: thin needles break up clumps and distribute grounds thoroughly without creating large channels, promoting even density in the puck.
- Adjustable needle depth/spiral design: needle depth can be adjusted (by twisting) to fit different basket depths and dose amounts, making it versatile across setups.
- Magnetic base for secure attachment: ensures the tool stays firmly on the portafilter during use, providing stable, consistent distribution without mess or shifting.
- Open-side design for visibility and control: lets you see the state of the grounds as you work, ensuring you catch clumps or uneven areas before tamping.
- Durable, food-grade materials: stainless steel needles and aluminum alloy body give long-lasting build quality, easy cleaning, and safe contact with coffee.
- Compact, one-piece build with storage base: easy to store and maintain; base often doubles as a cleaning stand to keep needles safe and clean when not in use.
