Blind Filter

Blind filter are essential for backflushing (cleaning) the group head of your espresso machine. There are two types of filters: baskets and inserts. A stainless steel filter is the best option because it seals the group head tightly, allowing pressure to build up and be released by the expansion valve. This process effectively cleans the group head.

For better results, add a spoon of chemical cleaner to the filter basket to break down coffee oils and improve cleaning. A filter is a solid steel piece that fits into your group handle for backflushing your commercial or domestic coffee machine. It helps remove residual coffee particles, keeping your machine in top espresso-making condition.

The filter works with machines that have a pressure release mechanism. It’s an important part of the cleaning process that ensures the group channels remain clear, helping maintain uniform extraction pressure.

This 58 mm. filter fits into the porta filter handle of your espresso machine, replacing the brew basket. To clean, insert the blind filter into the group handle with Cafiza powder for a backflush. We recommend performing 5 cycles of 5 seconds each at the end of each day for a proper clean.

Please note that this filter fits a 58 mm porta filter. This is the standard size for most commercial espresso machines, but make sure it’s compatible with your machine before ordering.
