Ultimate Guide to Brewing Moka Pot Coffee

- Moka Pot
- Stove top/ Induction plate
- Coffee (beans/ground)
- Grinder (if using beans)
- A wet cloth

LET’S GET STARTED
STEP
01
Measure and Grind
Measure and grind 14g of coffee to table salt consistency.

Fill the funnel
Add the ground coffee to the funnel and evenly distribute using the index finger without tightening the puck.

Boiling hot
Fill the bottom chamber of the Moka Pot with boiling hot water and insert the funnel.
STEP

Get Brewing
Cover the bottom chamber with the wet cloth and tightly screw the top chamber into the bottom chamber.

Heat is on
Keep the Moka Pot on stove/Induction plate and let it brew till the coffee comes flowing out. Your brew should only take 4 minutes. If the coffee is gurgling/spraying out from the column in the center, make sure to lower the flame. If it comes out lethargically, turn up your flame.

Aftermath
After brewing, immediately remove the Moka Pot from the heat source and cool it down by holding the Moka Pot to running water.
